Full-time Front of House Supervisor

In addition to your primary responsibilities at the front of house, you will have the chance to acquire cooking/baking skills by supporting our in-house cook/baker as needed.

Interacting with our diverse customer base will be a fundamental aspect of your role, enabling you to refine your interpersonal communication and customer relationship management skills.

We're looking for...


  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: This is paramount for a front-of-house role. The candidate should be friendly, approachable, patient, and able to handle diverse customer interactions, including complaints, with grace and professionalism.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication is essential for taking orders accurately, explaining menu items, coordinating with kitchen staff, and resolving any issues with customers or colleagues.
  • Accuracy with Cash Handling & POS Systems: A fundamental requirement for a cashier. The candidate must be meticulous with money, able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently, and accurate in processing transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
  • Multitasking Ability: This role demands juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously, such as taking orders, handling payments, answering questions, and then seamlessly transitioning to food prep tasks. The ideal candidate can manage these transitions smoothly without getting flustered.
  • Efficiency & Speed: In a fast-paced environment, both cashiering and food prep require quick thinking and efficient execution to keep lines moving and orders fulfilled promptly.
  • Attention to Detail (Cashiering & Food Prep): For cashiering, this means accurately inputting orders and handling money. For food prep, it involves following recipes precisely, portioning correctly, and ensuring food quality and presentation.
  • Food Safety Knowledge & Practices: Crucial for anyone handling food. The candidate should have a basic understanding of food safety regulations, cross-contamination prevention, and proper hygiene practices.
  • Team Player Mentality: This role often involves working closely with other front-of-house staff and kitchen team members. A good candidate will be cooperative, willing to help where needed, and contribute positively to the team environment.
  • Adaptability & Flexibility: The ability to pivot between different tasks and adapt to changing priorities or customer demands is key. They should be willing to take on new responsibilities as needed.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: From a customer's incorrect order to a sudden rush, the candidate should be able to think on their feet and find effective solutions quickly and calmly.
  • Reliability & Punctuality: Dependability is essential. You need someone who will show up on time, be ready to work, and consistently perform their duties.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Maintaining a tidy workstation, both at the register and in the prep area, is vital for efficiency, hygiene, and a positive customer impression.

Wages

$18 to $20 per hour depending on evaluation of probation period, during this time earning $17.20 per hour.
