We are a restaurant & cheese shop situated in Portland Ontario. We serve cuisines from the Maritimes, pizzas and breakfast all day. Our fresh cheese curds and aged cheese are available from Wednesday to Sunday. We also carry fresh breads baked everyday and sourdough breads.
As a Seasonal Cook/Baker at our premises, you will:
- Work independently to prep all meals and cook based crafted processes & recipes.
- Be responsible for reading recipes, measuring and mixing ingredients, molding and shaping dough, and processing everything through the ovens
- Work alongside your team to keep the bakery clean, and contribute to a great customer experience.

- Ingredient Preparation – Washing, chopping, and sorting vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
- Kitchen Organization – Labeling and stocking ingredients for easy access
- Sanitation & Cleanliness – Washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of trash to maintain a hygienic workspace
- Inventory Management – Keeping track of ingredient supplies and coordinating restocking with business owners

Requirements
- Knife Skills - Efficiently chopping, slicing & dicing ingredients for consistency
- Food Safety & Sanitation - Proper handling, storage & hygiene to prevent contamination
- Time Management - Working quickly & efficiently to keep up with kitchen demands
- Recipe Adherence - Following instructions precisely to maintain consistency in dishes
- Multitasking - Managing multiple prep tasks simultaneously without compromising quality
- Continuous standing/walking for all tasks.
